Just under £500k was secured for Life Leisure from the Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund to deliver a 5-year youth engagement project supporting young people living in underserved communities of Stockport. Again the bid process used simple steps to firstly identify need through data analysis and then effectively engage the local community to help shape the bid and how the project would be delivered. Throughout the process young people were at the heart of the bid development, working to understand the most effective way to support their needs and identify how grant funding could improve their life chances and develop the communities they live in.
